A pretty parrot with a cropped tail. The pictures showing the object after the completed treatment show a beautiful long tail again.
Object: A German figurine of a parrot made by the famous Meissen porcelain factory.
Approximate size: ca. 25cm. high
Condition: Most of the foliage was missing. There were some old fills but most leaves were gone. The parrots tail was also an old fill and research into the object showed that it’s tail was originally much longer than the old restoration. One of the wings had a chip missing.
Suggested treatment: the object was cleaned before fills were made. All fills were retouched.
